Hopping At The Wall

Style - Techniques | Difficulty - Intermediate | Intensity - 2 | Duration - 12.11 | Props - Wall

It's common for beginners, when practising hopping into handstands, to create a banana shape with their bodies. This is mainly due to losing engagement of the core, lack of shoulder mobility or fear of being truly upside down. Practising this way of hopping will develop bad movement habits on the journey to learning how to handstand. This class teaches us how to hop with our back to the wall in a controlled way that keeps our core engaged, which will teach good movement patterns once we start practising hopping into handstands without any assistance.
